Animals at Home
Make the digital user experience match the high touch feel of the Animals at Home nationwide pet-care franchise brand.
A new website that helps Animals at Home better promote both services and franchise opportunities online. Key to this project was to provide the visitor with a way to easily and quickly discover their nearest branch.
As with many of Alto's clients, Animals at Home were referred to us by an SEO specialist who we had worked with on a previous project. With introductions quickly done, we soon got into discussions around the business strategy goals for the future and the importance placed on their online presence.
Although an offline service, Animals at Home depend heavily on their website for both new business and attracting new franchise opportunities.
As the nation's largest pet-care service company, Animals at Home have a strong and established brand.
Defining the requirement creates an objective roadmap; a decisional filter governing our design decisions. By checking against this statement, we can ensure that all decisions are aligned with the brand.
The goal of the new website was to keep in-line with the brand identity and reflect the colour palette, while introducing a fresh and clean design.
What emerged was a clear and consistent design ensuring that Animals at Home stay current and ahead of the competition.

User Experience Design
Based on content migrated from the previous website and the user profiles created, we created a sitemap from sticky notes. The site content was then organised and prioritised around key behaviours.
The Animals at Home website was in need of a refresh, while still honouring the values of the original founders and the brand identity.
"We have been both relieved and impressed with the way our new website was designed, developed and finally launched by Alto.
Their attention to detail and professional approach to taking the stress out of such a key interface of any modern business was very welcome.
With being a Franchisor, we needed to have a smooth transition for not only our main site but all of the Franchises sub sites."
Ann Luffman (Managing Director)
"I love the look of the new page, really lovely and easy to navigate through."
Jennie (Mendip Branch)
"The new format looks great! I see most of the changes requested have already been implemented, which is awesome."
